Head of Sujalam Crop Care

Head of Sujalam Crop Care, Mr Madhukar Hegade had completed his B.Sc. Agri from College of Agriculture Pune in 1981. He did Post Graduation from NDRI, Karnal (Haryana) in 1984.

He joined Hindustan Lever Limited, Agri Division in 1985 as Agri Territory Incharge and worked in Maharashtra and Gujarat till 1991.

He worked as Deputy Manager Quality Control in Maharashtra Warehousing Corporation, Pune from 1992 to 1995.

In June 1995 he joined Institute of Micronutrient Technology, Pune as Director.

There he worked in Balanced Plant Nutrition field till 2015.

He had exposure to Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab states.

During his tenure he had field and market level experience of all types of Soil and Crop related problems and he had worked out innovative, practical and scientific solutions to farmers various problems, keeping cost of production in control.

He had delivered technical talks on Radio, Annadata channel of ETV and written articles in Leading newspapers and Agri Megazines, from time to time.

In 2016 he started his own organization "Sujalam Crop Care" in Pune.

The main objective of Sujalam Crop Care is to bring farmers focus on Soil Fertility so as to make Farming business profitable.

We, at SCC believe that Soil Health is most crucial issue in Agriculture. Improving the Soil Health by increasing Organic Carbon levels in soil by adopting various methods and shifting to Integrated Nutrient Management is the only proven method to change the agriculture situation.

He recieved Business Excellence Award in August 2019 from leading Agri magazine "Agrowon" for promoting the unique concept of Soil Organic Carbon.

Soil Organic Carbon is the single most soil character of prime importance from soil fertility point of view.

It reflects the liveliness and overall soil health. Physical, Chemical and Biological Characters are depending on level of SOC .Hence SOC in known as SOUL of Agriculture.

Unfortunately imbalanced use of chemical fertilizers and lack of organic fertilizers for last few Decades has resulted in vanishing soil micro organisms in the soil.

This situation has created depleted current organic carbon level in the soil SOC level which was in the range of 2% before Green revolution has depleted up to less than 0.5 % in almost 95% of our soils.

We Promote improvements in Soc through our scienticfic advice and unique products. Our range of products including Soil Application as well as Foliar application help to improve organic carbon in the soils as well as providing balanced nutrients to all type of crops
